Help
Step-by-step instructions, in the order you need them. Start at the top if this is your first install.
- Before you install: what you need
The accounts, details and 30 minutes you need before you run the Open Ledger IL installer, and which parts are optional.
- Install Open Ledger IL step by step
Every screen of the Windows installer, from the licence key to the Ledger's address, with what to fill in and what to skip.
- Create the Cloudflare API token
The exact permission rows, account and zone settings for the installer's Cloudflare token, with and without a domain.
- First sign-in and setup
Sign in to your Ledger for the first time, fill in the business profile, logo, signature and numbering, and check one receipt before you go live.
- Give your accountant or assistant access
Add an accountant, an assistant or your second email to the Ledger, in the Ledger and in Cloudflare Access, and remove them again.
- Connect to the Tax Authority for allocation numbers
Allocation numbers with the installer or with your own setup: what each path takes, how to connect, and the 90-day reconnect.
- From quote to receipt: your first documents
The order of documents in the Ledger, from a quote and a payment request to the receipt, and why the receipt is the one that counts.
- Digital signatures: what the Tax Authority requires and how the Ledger meets each rule
The rules for emailing receipts and invoices under instruction 18ב, the Ledger feature behind each rule, and the one step left to you.
- Take payments with Grow, Cardcom or another provider
Use a card payment provider for collecting money and the Ledger for the receipts, by hand or automatically, without two documents for one payment.
- Get your expenses into the Ledger
Forward receipts by email, upload them, or import a month from Google Drive. Each one is read by AI and waits for your check.
- Send documents by email, and keep them out of spam
Connect Resend so the Ledger emails receipts and invoices from your own domain, and the DNS and wording that keep them in the inbox.
- Connect Claude or another AI app (MCP)
Give Claude Desktop or Claude Code access to your Ledger with the MCP address and token, and what to do when the token is lost.
- Add or change a key after the install
Add the Gemini, Anthropic, Resend, Slack or Google Drive key to your Ledger in the Cloudflare dashboard, without running the installer again.
- Updates and backups
How to check for a new Open Ledger IL version and update with the installer, and where the Ledger keeps its backups.
- Common problems and how to fix them
Fixes for the places people get stuck: Windows warnings, the Cloudflare token, Zero Trust, keys the installer refuses, sign-in, downloads and email.
